Boards & Committees Voters Assembly oversees the carrying out of the mission of the church. Parish Planning Council includes the chairs of each board, the officers, and a CLS representative. The Parish Planning Council serves as a forum where the activities of the administrative boards are discussed, evaluated, and coordinated into an overall congregational program. Officers include President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer, and Secretary. The President is responsible for enforcing the constitution and By-Laws, carrying out the expressed will of the Voters Assembly, and overseeing the functioning of the boards and committees. The Vice Presidents serve as assigned by the President. The Treasurer is responsible for the paying, recording, and summarizing of expenditures. The Secretary records and files all minutes of Voters Assembly and Parish Planning Council. The Financial Secretary records and deposits all receipts, and issues quarterly statements and envelopes. Board of Lay Ministry oversees the spiritual welfare of the pastor and congregation members, individually and corporately, and supervises congregational worship.

Board of Evangelism enlists God's people to bring the Gospel to the unchurched.

Board of Parish Education plans and supervises the educational programs of the church, including Sunday School, Adult Bible Classes, and Vacation Bible School. It also serves as the connection from our church to Central Lutheran School.

Board of Young People's Ministry enhances the spiritual growth of our young people that they may be responsive members of St. Stephanus.

Board of Stewardship develops good stewardship of time, talents, and treasures in the congregation.

Board of Trustees maintains and repairs church property and represents the congregation in all legal matters.

Board of Social Ministry maintains a visitation ministry within the congregation and serves the immediate neighborhood.

Worship and Music Committee plans and coordinates all worship activities.

Tuition Grant Committee is responsible for dispensing tuition grants as needed and supervising the faithfulness of CLS families.

Human Resources Committee oversees policies for all non-called staff and makes salary recommendations.

Nominating Committee enlists candidates to be elected into various boards and ministries.

Endowment Fund Committee dispenses financial aid to students training for a professional church vocation.
