Becoming a Member If you desire to become a member at St. Stephanus, talk to Pastor Bender. All people who join, even transfers from other LCMS churches, need to take a one-day class. This class is usually held on a Saturday, one in spring and one in fall, from 9 am to 3 pm. The class is informal because Pastor wants you to feel comfortable bringing your questions and experiences into the day's learning. Obviously, the whole content of the Christian faith can not be taught in a one day class, so it is expected that through regular worship and Bible study, much of the remaining content will be learned over time. After the class, Pastor is open to having one-on-one conversation with you to help you understand or grow in your faith. |
