Opportunities for a Christian Education

Saint Stephanus was a school even before it was organized as a congregation. As such, a Christ-based education has always been an important part of the life at St. Stephanus.

The school that originally stood on the corner of Lafond and Grotto and welcomed the neighborhood children as St. Stephanus school continues on as Central Lutheran School, which offers a Christ-based education from preschool through 8th grade. St. Stephanus is an Association Congregation of Concordia Academy, where students can continue a Lutheran Education through high school. Concordia University, St. Paul offers a post-secondary education.

Sunday School is offered during the school year, Labor Day through Memorial Day, for preschool through 8th grade, Youth Group for high-school ages, and one or more Adult Bible Study Classes for continued study during our Education Hour. During the summer months, Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Adult Bible Study classes continue while the children's Sunday School takes a summer break.

Wednesday morning Bible Study brings an opportunity to meet over breakfast at a local restaurant. Contact the office for time and location of this event.

Women's Bible Study offers a chance for midweek study and fellowship. Contact the office for time and location.

Connecting Groups are offered at several times throughout the week. These small groups meet at various members' homes to study God's word, the Bible, develop meaningful relationships, and witness their faith through community service projects. A meal is shared, relationships are developed, and members experience and explore worship together.
