Leah VanDassor | Congregational President

Leah VanDassor is your Congregation President.  She has served in that position since 2012.  Prior to that, she was 2nd VP on the PPC.  As the first female President for SSLC, she is working hard to live up to the title.

Originally from Colombo, Sri Lanka, Leah grew up mostly in Butte, MT.  She attended college at Concordia University in St.Paul and began her English teaching career in 1993.  She has been at Highland Park Middle School since 1996.

She married Russ in 1995 and has two teenagers, Deiondrea and Jeremiah still at home with three other kids who have already moved on.  She is a frequent attender of the 10:30 service where she plays in the worship band.  Music has been one of her passions her whole life.

Leah has lived in St. Paul just south of I94 since 1997.  She and her family love the diversity of St. Paul and specifically, their neighborhood.  Like Frogtown, the neighborhood has people with many different backgrounds and perspectives.

When she is not teaching or at church, she likes to read, knit, watch CSI (all of them), and play music.
